Tanky, doesn't randomly die while mapping 6 curses ticked, usually you have more since with most bosses you can spam enough totems before the fight begins. Flask uptime is fair I think since bosses die so quickly. No tinkering with the config, no shocks applied. The PoB is non-BS apart from maybe the flasks being up. I recorded multiple videos of this build in action, check out my channel. However, I think I created a pretty well rounded build with this. I'm no expert build maker, I'm sure this could be optimized even further to squeeze out more damage or defensiveness. I completed every invitation including The Feared deathless at least once. The build has yet to die in maps, but for nastier maps I suggest a more defensive/slower playstyle. My first death was to sirus on A8, I dashed right into his die-beam in the last phase. I took this build to level 92 before I had my first death. As someone who hates bullshit-guides that showcase white T16s in their videos, claiming 123m dps with ominous shocks ticked in their PoBs, this is something that is important to me.Īs you can see, I completed every invitation and killed the Maven for all the Uncharted Realms passives: There are a few breakpoints that need to be met so the build feels really good.Įdit: I'll add this post to the guide as a disclaimer, I don't want there to be any misunderstandings. It's crucial to understand where the tankyness comes from. This is what I wanted to adress with my build and I think I managed it quite well.Īlso, If you're struggling with the build, I'll gladly take a look and give you advice - but please, before asking questions read the defensive concepts section in the guide again.

Most people were complaining about the general squishyness of their FR Totem builds, especially while mapping (Zizaran for example). That being said, it should still be much more forgiving against bosses compared to other builds.
Poe decoy toem manual#
This build performs very well in maps and feels almost immortal most of the time, but bossing still requires knowledge of the fights and manual dodging. Through optimizations such as these, and because he's playing on the Synthesis Challenge League, he has managed to take the respectable 5 maps an hour that OP's build achieves and has brought that number down to 3 maps an hour.I wish to explain this again, this build is not particularly "tanky" against big hits, do not expect to tank the totempole-beam from Catarina or a Shaper slam for example. After successfully taunting ranged mobs, and vacuuming them inside the area of Tukohama's / Torchoak step's combined 40% of max health reflection, he expertly summons a decoy totem on top of his shockwave totem at the precise moment to intercept the ranged mobs attacks, which were targeting the shockwave totem, causing them to hit the decoy totem instead, keeping them taunted, and abusing the massively increased health that decoy totems have. Now, normally, totems would only have a 20% chance to taunt, but through the use of rng manipulation, this guy can assure that his totems taunt 100% of the time, every time. This guy uses a combination of, not decoy totem, but shockwave totem, the reverse knockback direction on empire's grasp to pull ranged mobs in, Torchoak step + the old Tukohama, War's Herald chieftain node to make his totems taunt on hit. Let me break it down for you.Īs shown in this video, decoy totem + torchoak step is a great combination, but it suffers against ranged mobs. He logs out as a slayer, but he's actually playing as a pre-rework chieftain. It's no secret that some players change their gear/gems before logging out to hide their op builds from prying eyes such as yours.
